Ian Leslie joins Pecha Kucha Beaufort advisory group

Ian Leslie, director of marketing and membership for the Lowcountry Economic Network, has joined the Pecha Kucha Beaufort advisory group.
Ian joined the staff of the Lowcountry Economic Network in September 2008. He is a New York native who arrived in South Carolina in 2001. He currently makes his home in Port Royal with his wife, Carolyn, and their two sons. Ian worked as a journalist for eight years, including five years as an editor at The Beaufort Gazette, before joining the Network and covered local state politics in South Carolina and New York.
He also is a freelance writer, consults on Web development and is author of “The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Getting into Top Colleges.”
Ian and Carolyn have volunteered their time with several local organizations, including Hope Haven of the Lowcountry, Lowcountry Habitat for Humanity, Friends of Caroline Hospice and Operation Holiday Heroes.
